Herbs can be both culinary and medicinal. They are low growing plants which can be used either fresh or dried. Some can be used as food seasoning while others are useful in treating diseases. Not all herbs are compatible with each other and some can cause serious side effects, so they should only be used with the advice of a herbal practitioner.

Super Kelp is basically a type of sea weed that is very rich in natural iodine. This is very beneficial in weight loss. It also cleans out the kidneys and stimulates the thyroid and pituitary gland to produce growth hormones.

Garlic is a natural antibiotic and can be used to treat wounds and a host of other ailments. In addition, it also has a positive effect on heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes and cancer. People with bleeding disorders should not use garlic.

Parsley is rich in Vitamins A, B, C and also minerals such as calcium, iron, phosphorous, potassium, and magnesium. This is widely used for kidney and urinary problems, as well as water retention because of its natural diuretic properties.

Green tea extract has very powerful antioxidant properties. This is helpful for both heart disease and cancer due to its inherent ability to prevent blood clotting. It also supports immune system health and deters digestive and respiratory infections. Too much is known to cause insomnia, nausea, and loss of appetite, among other ailments.

Milk thistle promotes healthy liver function by helping to prevent damage caused by viruses, toxins, and alcohol. It is also a remedy for chest and bronchial ailments as well as numerous womens issues. Excess use may result in stomach pain, headache, and possible skin reactions.

Aloe Vera gel has been in use since the time of the ancient Egyptians. This is mainly a skin remedy which helps cuts and burns heal faster; it also acts as a disinfectant, as well as restoring the skins natural beauty. Drinking the Aloe Vera juice is also great for flushing out built-up toxins within the stomach and intestines.

Oil of Oregano (not to be confused with Oregano oil) has powerful antioxidant and anti-microbial properties. The oil is highly concentrated and needs to be diluted with olive or coconut oil before applying to the skin. These herbs would be used as supplements to a regular diet to cure minor afflictions.
